Computer Supplies - where to buy computer paper, printer cartridges, CD-R supplies, etc
In previous columns I have mentioned several places that have extensive computer supplies like paper; print cartridges; blank CD-Rs; etc.  Here are most of the places in Bali:
•     Makro – limited selection of printer cartridges, but plenty of paper; CD-Rs; etc
•     Gramedia (both stores) – good for paper supplies
•     Mega Systems in Ubud – has everything
•     Bali Computer Center in Denpasar (RIMO) – has everything

Favorite LINK:  http://www.bali-information.com/expat_forum/  a wonderful site for those of us lucky enough to live in Bali.  They even have forums so you can post a question and have folks answer it for you.

Q: What’s the best way to clean some of the dirt off my computer’s monitor without damaging it?  Yanti in Ubud
A:
•     To clean the monitor (UNLESS it is a laptop LCD), simply apply some window cleaner or TV cleaner to a cloth until it is damp (not soaked) and then rub the monitor screen evenly. Never, and I mean never, apply the cleaner directly to the monitor - that is an easy way to ruin a very expensive piece of computer equipment.
•     Unlike a computer monitor the LCD is not made of glass therefore requires special cleaning procedures:

•     When cleaning the LCD screen it is important to remember to not spray any liquids onto the LCD directly, do not use a paper towel as it may cause the LCD to become scratched.

•     To clean the LCD screen we recommend that you use a soft cotton cloth. If a dry cloth does not completely clean the screen you can apply rubbing alcohol to the cloth and wipe the screen with the damp cloth. Rubbing alcohol is actually used to clean the LCD before it leaves the factory.
