Websites to help Expats and visitors to Bali
One very good web site for us non-Indonesians is http://www.expat.or.id/info/bali.html .  Find out everything from help on buying a car here; relocation to Bali info; ex-pat clubs; Visa info; doing business here; housing; and a great Forum, where you can post    questions!  And of course www.BaliAdvertiser.biz has what you need for daily life here in Bali.

Forums where you can read and post personal messages.  These sites answer YOUR particular questions:
http://boitech.com/balinuts/chat/index.php
http://www.baliforum.com/travel/ubbthreads.php
http://www.balilife.com/wwwboard/
http://expatforum.digitaldevelopment.com/

NEWS Sites.  Only two I found in English:
http://www.thejakartapost.com/
http://indahnesia.com/Indonesia/Bali/Bali.php breaking Bali news

Other great sites are:
http://www.boitech.com/cgi-bin/clinks/main.cgi A great page of Links by categories (some links not good any longer, but most are still active)!
http://www.balieats.com - find a restaurant by location; cuisine; name.
http://www.baliadvisor.com/ particularly good at finding great airline prices
http://www.bali-events.com/  Calendar of Events by month – mostly what temples are having anniversaries this month, plus other information about holidays like Nyepi or Galungan/Kuningan, etc.
http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic - great currency converter
http://www.geocities.com/mbordt/eng-indo.htm and http://www.KAMUS-online.com online Indonesia/English dictionaries
http://www.bluep.com/~gerome/main.htm  FLIRTING lessons in Indonesian!
http://www.onlineconversion.com/ convert anything – Area (100 Are = 2.47 acres); clothing sizes; temperature; volume; etc
http://www.wunderground.com/ forecasts (yea, sure!) for Denpasar
http://www.baliwww.net/becho/52/index.htm Bali Echo magazine - seems to have stopped publishing as of  May 2001, but still many fine articles in past issues
http://www.balidiscovery.com/domestic/ for KITAS or KIMS rates for many hotels!
