As we head on into 2009, Mars travels alongside Pluto, with its’ conjunction on the New Moon, making for a very potent month, and a powerful beginning to the New Year. Mars is the rocket fuel, for Pluto, the Rocket. In Capricorn we are talking about structures, government, money, banks and order. We are all looking to create some new boundaries, and order in our lives, after the recent World upheaval, which continues, with many, floundering in its’ wake. This is a serious time, with our actions being monitored, to check for the practicality and workability of them. The other side, of course, is the dissolution of the old structures, which are rapidly crumbling. Buying into the fear machine, only promotes paranoid thinking, worry, stress and strain. The best way to avoid this, is to just be sensible and use you wisdom and discrimination. Understanding that there are many still, on the Planet, with memories of the last recession, fueling the furnace, we look to those with fresh thinking, unencumbered by the past. Those who are fearless to move forward now, with strategic plans, and workable ideas. Speaking of which, there will be many new ideas, coming forward, as Jupiter moves into Aquarius on the 5th. A time for the application, of what was, up until now, only in the experimentation stage. The newer sciences, making a very strong impact, on minds which are looking to new ideas, as the old, rapidly fail. Fighting against this current crisis, only brings frustration; better to find your haven, in which to take refuge, for the time being.

ARIES : Mars in Capricorn, is going to be giving you grief, over the coming weeks, as it targets, your Aries Planets. This is the time for knuckling down, and taking responsibility, whether you like it or not. Any resistance, will only bring harsh reprisal, from one corner or another. It seems, that all of a sudden, you have so much on your plate, and how did it get like this anyway? Time to make a few plans, and set some goals in motion for yourself. There is nothing, that is too big a deal for you; the challenge will bring out inner, reserves, which you didn’t know you had.
TAURUS : Venus moves into Pisces this fortnight, which for you, is a welcome relief, after the frustration of the Aquarian vibes during December. Where people were aloof and distant, they now become mushy and dependent, which for you, and your tactile ways, is just fine. In fact, you love people to lean on you, and make you feel needed and loved. There is so much love, in your heart, that you just want to share it with others. You may even be the shoulder, that others will want to cry on. Having the strength, that you do, to carry the burden of life, you will be much sought after.
GEMINI : Ho hum, here we go again with another retrograde Mercury. Get ready for the glitches and the confusion. You will get plenty of opportunity, to reassess your thinking and your strategies. Being too hasty will only make for problems later. We return to the degree of the New Moon which was on the New Moon, at the end of December. What were you plans, or what was happening for you, at that time? Something to do, with creating order, in your life, big time. Now, you really have to work it, and the results will show by the beginning of February, when changes will happen big time.
CANCER : Full Moon is in your sign on the 11th. A very potent month for you, when your business abilities are brought forward. A time when many are turning towards family, you are in your opposite mode, of work. The Full Moon, however, will have you in close proximity to those you love, and are responsible for. Remember too, that family, not only relates to blood relatives. They are those individuals, which you deem closest to you, in current time and location. Spread the love around, like never before. Your nurturing abilities are in high demand, in all areas of your life.
LEO : Sun traveling through Capricorn, is, to say the least, a bit of a dry time. Coming as it does, around the yearly festive celebrations, puts a bit of a dampener on them. As much as you really want to let your hair down, the mood of the day takes over, and has you all tucked up in bed, at a reasonable hour. There is absolutely no point, in being upset by it. Life moves in cycles, and before too long, you will be feeling the freedom and the wind in your sails. Each one of us, needs to take stock of things, once in a while. This is that time, for you.
VIRGO : Saturn in Virgo, teaming up with the Sun, at fortnights end, will put a nice bit of solidity to your current plans. It seems that the beginning of the Gregorian New Year, is a time when most of us think of the coming months, and do a little forethought. What are your goals, and what would you like to achieve? Perhaps, just being present, enjoying this place and time, is enough, and a huge task, both at the same time. Too much striving is as detrimental, as not having any plans. Finding the balance is your task this fortnight.
LIBRA : Venus in Pisces, throws you into a much smaller fish bowl, with your relationship. You may find your partner, or yourself, being oh so sensitive and touchy, to boot. Communication, unfortunately, doesn’t seem the way to resolve matters. There is no amount of talking that will get you out of this situation. You are going to have to dive into your heart, and find out what is really going on, for both you and the one you care about. This is a time to feel each other, and to move into the next realm of relationship. Let it take you to the depths, of your very soul.
SCORPIO : Pushing too hard, at this time, will make everyone and everything rigid. What you need is some fluidity and understanding. This is no task that is up for extremes. It is something, which is going to take time, planning and methods. A rush in, attitude, will only serve to act, as a bull in a china shop. Think through all stages of the planning, and look towards your goals, and required outcomes. This is also not about competition. Co-operation, sharing and team work, are all needed here. SAGITTARIUS : Jupiter changing signs, has a big impact on your life, this fortnight. What has been hard work, now becomes lighter, freer and much more fun and probably a lot more quirky. The urge to participate returns, and the desire to be amongst people, groups and parties. A little more outlandish, extravagant and experimental. This long slow process, of the last year, is complete. You have graduated and now, for a moment, you get to play. Remember to not overdo it, as there is still work that needs to be done.
CAPRICORN : Sun, Mars and Pluto, moving through you sign, giving you some much needed energy, power and inspiration. Birthdays are great, for bringing us, back to our true nature.
