The Sun and New Moon move into Scorpio, this fortnight. The Sun on the 23rd and the New Moon, on the 29th, at 6 degrees. The big movement, is the Uranus / Saturn opposition, on the 4th, November, which I’ve mentioned over recent weeks. This transit goes through until mid 2010, and heralds a time of enormous change on our Planet. Remember too, that this period relates strongly to 65/66, when these two planets were last in opposition. At that time, we saw the public standing strongly, against authority figures, and the powers that be, particularly around the issue of the Vietnam War. A strong movement away from conservative living (Saturn), and the beginning of the hippy generation, which in itself, was a statement of freedom and independence(Uranus). In the signs of Virgo and Pisces, health and drug induced spirituality, went hand in hand. Uranus then, was in the sign of Virgo, and now Saturn takes over, to sort out what was then disrupted. Rebelling against authority, was perhaps not the most effective means of getting a point across, however, achieved its’ aim, to a degree. Now we will move forward with more intelligence and some degree of forethought and planning. However, chaos is generally, a part of this transit. Uranus, while in the sign of Pisces, is revealing some startling information around spiritual matters, upsetting many orthodox ideologies. Perhaps setting the stage, for a unification of the human species through spiritual commonality, rather than separation in religious dogma and institutions.
NEW MOON 5 Scorpio 54 October 29, 2008 7:15 a.m.
ARIES : Mars is coming into a square formation with Neptune, and with that comes a softer more spiritual edge. Your transformation is calling you into compassion, for those in your life and may broaden out into the wider community. You will be feeling driven, and very much operating with a purpose, this fortnight. A great time for you to move forward into new areas of your life, while letting go of the old. This new perspective, will make the letting go process much easier, and the goal will be motivating.
TAURUS : Feeling optimistic now, is very likely, as a new phase of your life is ushered in. This is a time of great change, and the ability for you to make new friends, and be a part of exciting adventures. We are headed in the direction of a Taurus Full Moon, with the possibility of romance and sweet connections. Anything that has been stagnating, now gets refreshed and this forward movement, is exciting although challenging, as all change is. Chaos, is a natural part of this and the best you can do, is embrace it.
GEMINI : Mercury returns to the degree of its’ retrograde at the end of the month, and with that, resumes whatever was the point of interest, at the end of September. Still in the process of balancing the scales, and keeping everyone happy, you are about ready for the sign change, at the beginning of November, when Mercury moves into the deeply delving sign of Scorpio. Finally, you will get the opportunity to express yourself and perhaps release some of the pent-up emotions from October. Just be careful, where you do your venting.
CANCER : Make Love your focus this fortnight, no matter what the external situation. As easy as it is, to get caught up in complaining and criticizing, take a stand and allow something else to flow through you. Making this something else Love, could just touch someone’s life, with huge benefits. A kind word, could be enough to change the direction of that person’s thinking. So many of our behaviors, are just learnt patterns, that, with a little effort and awareness, can be turned around in a very short period of time.
LEO : If your life has been getting a little serious of late, perhaps it is time to lighten up, and have some fun. There is more to life, than work and study. Take some time-off and kick your heals up. Challenges, are always there, and with that, who’s going to miss you for a day or two, if fun and games call. On a slightly more sombre tone, take all disruptions in your stride, and as best as possible remain calm and with a peaceful center. The rest and relaxation, you are allowing yourself, will assist in making these disruptions, more manageable.
VIRGO : Many are learning new technological skills at this time, and this will set you in good stead, with potential job prospects. Remember to allow your perfectionist tendencies to move to the background, or you will remain, a student for the rest of your life, when you actually have the potential to take the role of teacher. You have much to share, and the ability to do this with self-discipline, and ease, which is well received by your students. A bit of a tense fortnight, although this window of opportunity, will open doors for you.
LIBRA : Now that the Birthday month has come to a close, this is a good time to relax and integrate. It is in the state of relaxation that you receive inspiration and guidance. A breath of fresh air blows through our soul, at Birthday time, which gives a sense of renewed enthusiasm to everything in life, but first, take a moment, so that your efforts are not instigated from a place of impulsiveness with Venus, your planetary ruler, in the very impulsive sign of Sagittarius. A sign that seldom looks at the immediate picture, but rather at the distant horizon.
SCORPIO : Things are not always, what they seem. Sometimes those deep motivating forces at work in our lives, come from a distant past, which has carried its’ thread through our DNA, to present time. Perhaps then, this is the opportunity to allow deep and profound healing into your life. Although tried and true modalities may seem logical, it is the illogical and unusual, that are drawing your attention. Do a little experimenting yourself, and you could be pleasantly surprised with the results, when these burdens are lifted.
SAGITTARIUS : Perhaps you are yearning to be with someone, who means a great deal to you and they are on distant shores. This then calls for an adventure, to bring two hearts closer together. What will you do this fortnight, to make this dream a reality? The questions have all been asked, and now it is time to just try it on for size. To get intimate, in a physical sense, and not just relate with the intellect. As exciting as it may be, watch the fears rise to the surface, and take courage to not let them deter you.
CAPRICORN : Get ready for the sweeping changes, which are about to enter your life. Welcome the chaos when it comes, and move along with the current of life, without resistance. You just don’t know which shore, you may end up on. There are many hearts you’ve touched in this lifetime, with your generosity and kindness, and although, they may go unacknowledged, know that you are doing good work in this world. As this continues, you will find a renewed passion, once the dust has settled again. Change is never comfortable.
AQUARIUS : Allowing your heart to be pierced, with the kindness of a friend, is going to open new possibilities for you this fortnight. With that, comes the potential for change, and perhaps the dismantling of some of your previous ideas, ideals and beliefs. Allow any adjustments, which need to be made in your life, and keep a very open mind at this time of potential chaotic movement. Old forms, need restructuring, and a revising of plans could well be in order. Inspiration and guidance is yours for the asking.
PISCES : It’s a time for you to channel all this energy, through creativity. Whatever is your forte, is fine. Paint, write, sing or dance up a storm. The thinning of the veils, allows for sensitive ones, such as yourself, to touch, very beautiful spaces. Find a way to express these, for the enjoyment of others; not to mention your own satisfaction and pleasure. Uranus in Pisces, is such an opportunity, it would be a shame to let it pass you by. With the Saturn opposition, you have the ability to bring the other worldly into form.
