Execution Site for Amrozy
The rejection of Amrozy’s appeal by the Supreme Court means that the death sentence handed down by the Denpasar Court remains in effect unless he gets amnesty from the President. If   the amnesty is rejected, the death sentence prevails. So, where is the location to execute him? “I think, the best place to execute Amrozy is Bali,” said lawyer Warsa T. Bhuana on Sunday (11/1). Bitten by Fish
Turmadi, 25, was admitted to the emergency unit of Sanglah    Hospital because he was bitten by a fish while he was fishing. On Sunday (4/1), Turmadi was fishing in Benoa and got a fish which was as big as an adult’s leg. He pulled the fish using the fishing rod but the fish escaped. He tried to catch it but the fish bit him. As a result, his left leg was ripped and his palm was wounded. (BP Jan. 6)
 
Four Ministers Visit Karangasem
Coordinating Minister of People’s Welfare Jusuf Kalla, Minister of Health Sujudi, Minister of Social Affairs Bachtiar Chamsyah and Minister of Settlement and Regional Infrastructure Soenarno visited Karangasem on Sunday (4/1). They made a short visit to the buildings damaged by the earthquake that hit Karangasem on Friday (2/1). Ministry of Social Affairs donated Rp. 300 million, Ministry of People’s Welfare donated Rp. 500 million while Minister of Health donated medicine. “Public facilities such as the hospital, center for public health, and school buildings will soon be repaired,” said Jusuf Kalla. Death in the Bakery
Laborers in Galiran Market, Semarapura, were shocked when the body of a laborer in a bakery, Ketut Srinyab, 40, was found. His body was discovered under the table where the baked bread is put. There are no clues of violence on his body,” said a staff in Klungkung Crime Research. ( Denpost Jan. 5)
 
Special Ceremony in Besakih
Following the murder of I Wayan Mangku Anut, 55, pamangku in the Pedharman Mengwi Temple in Karangasem, the paruman adat decided to hold a Pamarisudha Bumi ceremony on Wednesday (21/1), to maintain the holiness around Besakih Temple, the scene of murder. The ceremony will return the sacredness of the temple that was polluted by the blood of murder. (Nusa Jan. 5)
 
 
Attack at Ubung Terminal
During a meeting with bus crews and the Head of Ubung Terminal in the Ubung Terminal office, Denpasar on Friday (2/1), Bambang Reny, 53, was attacked by six people that entered the meeting room. Reny was stabbed several times. The participants in the meeting did not call out for help. The Police learned about the incident after the perpetrators escaped on their motorcycles. Reny was treated in Sanglah Hospital. A special  joint team has been established for investigation and the witnesses are still being interrogated. (Denpost Jan. 3)
