Shopping on Jl Laksmana, Seminyak
Goodness me, this long stretch of road is really firing! Many
new boutiques are up & trading, so on with your walking
shoes - visit Dinda Rella for pretty fashion, next door is
the shoppette, Bouddha Bazar with sample trinkets displayed
on a wall, which are actual charms for bracelets & chains,
D’oR by Kerry Grima introduces more flirty fashions
for the younger set. Across the road, noticed a DeLighting
sign, obviously they see a niche for some of their fantastic
lights & then Milo’s is also moving in! And finally,
sks - simple konsep store where an eclectic mix of fashion,
design & entertainment items is waiting to be purchased.
Moving further down Jl Laksmana (past all the restaurants)
on the left hand side is a new shiny place called Home –coffee
& bar. Another new coffee stop that will give you the
pep to continue around the Jalan. Delicious pastries, cup
cakes, sandwiches & jars full of sweeties. Apart from
the quiet luxury to sit & work on your laptop in aircon
comfort (free internet service) you could choose the back
deck area to lounge. The lovely young owners tell me that
HOME will be open for a regular Sunday BBQ Sizzle from 4.30pm
to 10pm. Home is clean & fresh, white with chartreuse
& some walls handpainted with modern motifs. Have a very
good feeling that this café will do very very well.

Magg Interiors – ‘Glamour Rococco’ in Seminyak!
Known as, the Shocking Pink lady, now Magg has gone all Black
‘n White! She decided that the time had come to move
into the interior game which she is doing with her usual panache
& style. Apart from the ‘usual’ Bali décor,
she has displayed real talent for the more interesting &
unusual. Check out the interiors catalogue found in her two
stores to see what I mean, fresh takes on Rococco, Romantic,
French Country, and Contemporary to Ethnic. Magg will design,
