The Spirit of The Land

The earth is alive.  She has a consciousness of her own.  Can you feel it?  Different places on the planet have different energies and characteristics, which we feel when we go there.

I believe we are naturally drawn to places where we have lived previously, in past lives, in order to remember and acknowledge feelings that were unresolved at the time.  Do you ever have that funny feeling that you’ve ‘been here before’?  We’ve lived thousands of lives and been all over the place!  The soul is essentially a ‘feeling recording’ stored beneath the heart.  A recording of everything we ever felt, in all our lives.  Wherever we have denied a feeling or had a judgement about that feeling, creates a kind of glitch in the recording  - a little rough place where energy can’t quite flow.  A kind of ‘ouch’!  I mean, for example, we felt sad, or angry, or afraid, but instead of just feeling it, we kind of seized up, and denied we were having that feeling.  It creates an energy block in the aura, and also a connection to the present, so we sometimes keep repeating experiences that have a similar ‘feeling’.  Until we ‘get it’, feel the feeling, and move on.

Going to places we are attracted to often guides us to re-feel something on a deep level, that is very healing.  I often guide my clients back to past lives with a visualisation process that achieves a similar thing.

Higher places usually literally have a higher vibration – Machu Pichu high in the Andean hills, the Himalayas.  And when we go there, our being is naturally raised to the same high vibration, so we feel ‘uplifted’.  This shakes some of the lower vibration from our aura, a bit like shaking the dirt out of a carpet!  The wisdom of  previous civilizations is also encoded in sacred locations, so you may pick up an inkling of that when you visit.  Egypt contains wisdom of the ancient Egyptians, Machu Pichu, the knowledge of the Mayans, and so on.

Byron Bay at the Eastern most point in Australia, and is the place where the sun first hits the land.  It’s a sacred place for the Aboriginals and the key point for masculine energy on the planet.  Alaska is the key point for feminine energy on the planet.

Bali has a very high vibration, that tends to speed everything up.  It’s really like living in a workshop!  The results and effects of one’s actions tend to be magnified and happen quickly so rapid learning is kind of inevitable!

On a ‘local’ level, you will be aware of places in your home or workplace that have ‘good energy’.  Your favourite place to sit, or where the cat chooses to sit usually have good energy!  This is a function of ‘energy flow’ which is the definition of good health and wellness both within a person, or within an environment, company, country, and so on.  Stale, stagnant energy equates to an uncomfortable environment.  The underlying quality of the earth has a bearing – in other words, whether you are located on a ‘ley line' – part of the global network of positive energy transfer lines.  Or whether you are on a ‘low vibration’ energy point – typically, anywhere that has a dip in the ground where energy collects and stagnates, or anywhere that has a record of bad past action can also have a bad ‘vibe’.

The energy flow I am referring to is natural life force energy known as ‘prana’ in India or ‘chi’ in China.  It flows through everything – humans, plants, the land.  Blockages indicate stagnant areas – just as trapped weeds in a river will rot.  Health, happiness, and well-being are a function of energy flow.

In Singapore, a client came to me with an unusual problem. Her daughter was saying strange and abusive things to her mother for no reason and couldn’t stop.  I wondered at first if she had Turrette’s syndrome, but no, it turned out they were living in a ‘black and white’ – old traditional houses which are renowned for having ghosts.  The mother came into my treatment room and my hair so stood on end and my skin came up in goosebumps because she had a brought a ghost with her.  It turned out that the ghost was jealous of the little girl’s relationship with her mother and was interjecting negative thoughts towards the girls mind, who was psychic.  So we gently encouraged the ghost to leave, and I taught the girl how to deal with her psychic abilities and all became immediately much more peaceful in that household!  So, places do sometimes come with an attendant vibration which do have an effect on the occupants, and it can be beneficial sometimes to clear it.

The spirit of the land
It is calling you
Can you feel it calling, calling you?
The lakes and the rivers the fish and birds
The sacred stands and the magic words.
