Celebrate!

Party time! It’s time to have fun envisioning the things that you would really enjoy. So if you’re a party pooper, misanthrope, general stick-in-the-mud, or merely just have not been out for a bit, this is for you!

Before we are able to celebrate with others, we need to be able to celebrate ourselves. On a deep soul level, we need to be comfortable with being human, and glad to be here on the planet. Without that foundation, celebration is nigh-on impossible, because there is a deep-seated discomfort. To give an example, one of my clients had great difficulty in giving birthday gifts, and the reason was she couldn’t see the point of her own life, so why celebrate someone elses? We always project outwards what we feel deep inside. Life is a just mirror.

Celebration Meditation

Relax, breathe, and imagine you are standing in a white corridor. Feeling safe, a guide takes you by the hand and you walk along the corridor to the light at the end. The guide drops your hand and you walk out into the light, into the place of celebration. Have a look around. Where are you? Who is at your party? What do you see yourself doing? What can you smell? Taste? Hear? Move in the celebration to where you feel most attracted. Participate. Play. How do you feel? Notice. Move to different areas and experiences. How do you feel? Enjoy and play with the experience for as long as you want, and when you are ready, come back to the room.

Now take a pen and paper and journal your experience, especially noticing the feelings that you were attracted to. List them, because this is your ‘shopping list’ of what you desire. (We never want merely an experience, it is the feelings that it gives us that we truly seek).

For example: Warm embraced understood loved home safe welcome belonging.

Now, if you are listing something that you want, that means, on a subconscious level, that you are saying you don’t have it already. So, to create those feelings that you want and are not now having, you merely put them into the negative, and use the belief embracing process, to create them in yourself:
How to change a feeling or belief:
To change a negative feeling or belief, simply embrace, acknowledge, and surrender to it, which reverses it . The process* is to say out loud:

“I choose to believe (I don’t feel warm, embraced, understood, loved, home, safe, welcome, belonging). I love myself when I believe (I don’t feel warm, embraced, understood, loved, home, safe, welcome, belonging) and I embrace it, I surrender.”

As you say the belief, feel how you feel when you have the belief. As you embrace it, imagine you are hugging a crying child, and as you surrender, acknowledge and let go. You only need do it once, for each belief. Drink lots of water, and rest after.

Notice how your feelings change.

(I hope you enjoy this advanced bit of self-programming, which can take you straight to the feeling, without the need to long for the experience, or depend on anyone else to give it to you!)

‘Having Fun’ Beliefs

You might also like to change these profound beliefs which can stop you having fun (use the process above and do them one by one):

1. I won’t join the party**
2. I will join the party
It’s not safe to have fun
I won’t enjoy myself**
I will enjoy myself
I won’t take risks to enjoy myself**
I’m too serious/not serious enough
I won’t let myself go**
I’m not interested in myself, I’m boring, bored
I don’t want to be here
I don’t want to go
I won’t accept my gifts**
I won’t participate**
I won’t join in with life**
I’m too serious/not serious enough
I refuse to play/join in
I don’t want myself
I won’t celebrate myself**
I’m not welcome/not invited
I feel embarrassed/stupid/uncomfortable to be here.
** 2 stage process. For all these, clear the belief first with’I won’t’, and repeat with ‘I will’ (this brings it into the present, which is the sole domain of the subconscious mind.)

Exercise

Allow your mind to free-flow as you write answers to these questions:

If I really let my hair down I’d...
If had the time of my life, I’d...
If I really knew how to enjoy myself, I’d...
If I really knew how to celebrate myself, I’d...
Have fun celebrating yourself!
