AquaMarine Diving – Bali’s 2020 Divemaster Internship Application is Now Open!
At the end of 2011 AquaMarine introduced an initiative to re-invest in Bali’s dive community:
The AMD-B 11 Month PADI Divemaster Internship for Indonesian Citizen Program. This initiative developed as AquaMarine sought ways to invest back into the local community, providing the highest level of training for each candidate, allowing them to confidently pursue a career in the dive industry.
To ensure enough time for individual attention and training, AquaMarine takes a maximum of 4 interns each year. During the 11 month programme, the interns have an AMD-B OWSI assigned to them as a mentor who also assists in training them from Open Water Diver all the way to Divemaster. After 6 months of training and having achieved their PADI Divemaster certification, the interns then start to work as Dive Guides under the supervision of AquaMarine’s senior staff. This ensures that they gradually take on increased levels of responsibility whilst developing a solid base for their future careers.
In 2019, the program’s 8th year, AquaMarine accepted 4 new interns: Cynthia, Lingga, Rama and Risyad. All 4 completed training with flying colours and absolutely love introducing divers to Bali’s underwater wonderland – you are invited to join them! Anniversary Celebrations Show Appreciation for Finns Finest Assets
With over 1500 employees, Finns Bali recognises the importance of community both in and out of the workplace. This couldn’t have been more evident than during their 3 weeks of anniversary celebrations in September. In recognition of the Finns family’s 3rd year, staff and their kin participated in a series of activities involving not just their immediate clan, but also the local community.
You might have spied them out and about in their signature T-shirts on September 13 as over 100 employees spent half of the day cleaning Berawa Beach and the surrounding streets as part of their commitment to maintaining their local area. September 17 saw Finns staff continue with their community outreach quest with the collection of donations to present to 4 disadvantaged Karangasem families in dire need of assistance.
But hard work was replaced with a Walk for Fun on September 22 when a further 200 Finns employees took to the pavements once more. Post walk, the group enjoyed a series of entertaining team building activities followed by lunch at a slightly more leisurely pace!
The grand finale of fun is scheduled across 2 days from September 29-30 when over 2500 Finns staff and their family members will be treated to free activities on the sports field and @ Splash Water Park. There’ll be food giveaways as well as huge lucky door prizes for staff. Recognition that staff are indeed a company’s most valuable asset!
