Rumari is the fine dining restaurant at the new Raffles Bali, Jimbaran Bay. Rumari has been appointed as the newest Krug Ambassade, the first ever in Indonesia and one amongst the selected few exclusive venues in the world. Perched on the highest point of Raffles Bali, the name ‘Rumari’ means the house of the house of the sun and the moon. Led by Executive Chef Gaetan Biesuz, the restaurant presents Indonesian finest dishes in contemporary style. Open from Wednesday to Sunday for dinner only, your seafood options can be Ikan Woku [North Sulawesi style baby red snapper fillet, kemangi, leek, turmeric, tomato and organic belimbing wuluh], Lobster Tortelini [Manadonese Pesmol consommé, tomato, coconut and red chili cream], Rujak Scallop [Pan seared Maluku scallop, jicama, Kaviari Oscietra caviar, seasonal Balinese fruits, tamarind dressing and cucumber sorbet] or the Balinese Tuna Sambal Matah [Ultra rare smoked Jimbaran Bay yellow fin tuna, Kaviari Kristal caviar, shallot, ka r lime, house-made extra virgin coconut oil and kecombrang]. For meat dishes you must choose between Babi Guling [Slow roasted organic heritage pork, urab pakis salad and aromatic fragrant jus], Bebek Betutu [Slow cooked Negara duck breast in banana leaf and long bean kalasan coconut emulsion], or Beef Rendang [Minang style 48 hours slow cooked Tokusen wagyu short ribs, coconut milk, coal cassava and sambal ijo coulis].

HOSHINOYA Bali introduces Sukiyaki, its flavorful culinary art of Japanese fine dining with a view. In the jungles of Pejeng, Ubud. Executive Chef, Mitsuaki Senoo, brings to the table a hot pot cuisine. The Sukiyaki consists of sliced beef striploin, vegetables, tofu, and shirataki with Onsen-tamago poached egg. The sweet sukiyaki sauce, Warishita, is made from soy sauce, sugar, and mirin, giving a sweeter flavor, intense fragrance, and increased umami. Priced at Rp. 480,000 ++ per person. It is available for lunch or dinner. Interesting activities introduced at the resort include “Origami Challenge” where our origami artist will guide guests to create cranes, butterflies, Ninja weapons, and many more shapes.

Bketo, at Blue Karma offers romantic dining in Seminyak @ Rp. 1,550,000++ per couple. Bketo specializes in ketogenic cuisine. The vibrant dishes are loaded with vegetables, proteins, and healthy fats to provide the maximum amount of nutrients without unnecessary starches and carbohydrates. Their a la carte menu includes starters of Egg & Caviar [Soft poached egg, soft whipped polenta, caviar, edible flowers.], Scallop [Seared scallop, cakalang chili, avocado purée], Octopus [Crispy octopus, roasted potatoes, tomato conserva, cilantro oil], and Thin Crist Tuna Sashimi [with Gochugaru mayo, pickled shimeji, avocado, jalapeno]. Mains can be Lobster [Poached reef lobster, prawn bisque truffle risotto, shaved parmesan, bisque foam], King Prawn [with mixed herbs quinoa, avocado purée], Salmon [Seared Tasmanian salmon, green peas purée, confit cherry tomatoes, bell pepper soy emulsion], Koji Cauliflower Steak [Roasted cauliflower, chickpeas puree, bell pepper soy emulsion] and Truffle Pumpkin Risotto [Japanese rice, white miso, dollops of mushroom duxelle, sage burnt butter].
Golden Monkey restaurants [Ubud and Canggu] offer an all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch. Begin with Dim Sum, BBQ, a Wok Dish, Vegetables and Rice. First, a variety of flavorful prawn and pork dumplings, crystal dumpling, Shanghai pork broth dumplings, and also vegetarian dumplings. Then steamed pork buns, fried wontons, chicken feet with spicy bean sauce, and fried rice with roasted pork, and pickled radish. Finally, two selections of sweet desert including custard buns and pandan buns

Anita’s Warung, Babakan, Canggu, offers excellent Balinese style Italian at very cheap prices, great value for money. They also serve all the essential Indonesian dishes. The swimming pool is available to dining guests which makes it a perfect family dining option. Off the beaten track, but well worth the trouble to find it.

Asri Dining is located at Samanvaya, a luxury resort at Sideman in Karang Asem, the real country of Bali. It is an Adults only resort, and extra peaceful as a result. The cuisine on offer is very international. Starters, or share plates for nibbles, include Tofu Drumsticks [with sweet chilli sambal], Halloumi Sliders [grilled halloumi with Asian slaw, beetroot relish and chilli mayonnaise], Fish Tacos or Dumplings [steamed and lightly fried mushrooms and vegetables with a spicy ginger and soy dipping sauce]. There is also a Mezze Platter [raw vegetables, nuts, roasted peppers, grilled feta with sourdough and white bean dip]. Mains include a Prawn Pad Thai, Sweet & Sour crispy chicken tossed with pineapple, carrot and red peppers served with coconut rice, A Vietnamese Salad is refreshing [raw vegetables, vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, cashews, crisp tofu and Asian dressing]. An Indonesian dish from the wok is chicken tossed with fresh basil, vegetables and cashews, served with coconut rice. Wood-fired Pizzas are served in the evening only. Desserts can be Sticky Date Pudding, Cinnamon and Apple Cake or a Salted Caramel Tart.
