Then some surprises with his color offering; shades of aqua, coral, green & red, some navy and cream of course. Silk and Bamboo are Federicos favorite fabrics to date, falls beautifully, his cut is exquisite, his craftsmanship superb.

Stellar Dust is a new fashion forward swimwear & apparel brand launched by founder & designer Clarissa Thomas.
As a young child growing up in Tahiti, she spent her time swimming in turquoise lagoons, playing on white sand beaches surrounded by nature, vivid colors & beauty, hence her passion for swimwear.

With a BA in fashion design UK, Clarissa launched her first collection titled ‘Celestial Tide’ inspired by nature’s natural geometry & the merging of space. It’s a fusion of unique prints with retro futurist elements & with her ongoing love of beach life, inspiration of street-wear + inner city sport-luxe; Stellar Dust was born, its aesthetic is sexy, chic, vibrant & well cut.

There are so many shops that offer gift ideas for family & friends, but there’s one new store that’s recently opened in the heart of Seminyak that sells only SKULLS the ideal one-stop shop for Christmas gifts for those that love to be on-trend!

SKULL?! It may seem a little macabre to some, but when you think of it we all have one! And besides they are some of the biggest selling items in retail land, selling like hotcakes! In fact they have just about taken over from ‘the pineapple’ which has been on the retail scene for the last few years.

My eyes were agog, SKULLS in all shapes & sizes, made from a variety of materials, black, white and in a myrid of vivid colors. Many have been painted at random by people from local villages. Take time to look – totally clever & wasn’t surprised to hear that SKULL is the worlds first store, the entire contents consist of 1,300 items of which there are 280 original home lines!

Fashion & accessories (evening purses with SKULL clasp) art, objets & collectibles, (etched into shell) furniture & homeware items (clever SKULL seats with cushion & a large SKULL made of shell complete with internal light) it’s staggering how much product has been crafted & sourced from Indonesia. The store is extremely well merchandised (winning the Yak awards for best Retail Space, 2014)
What’s more, there’s product for all ages featuring SKULLS for, newborns (bibs & clothing) kids (backpacks, hanging mobiles for rooms, pins & stickers, fun watches) for everyone else, a host of handpainted or applique T/shirts, masks, iphone covers, jewelry, digital prints on lycra, mens ties to a range of art posters, Carved buffalo head & horns, ceramics, cushion covers, backpacks, socks & caps, mirrors and for the elderly (wooden walking sticks with a SKULL handle!)

Just a few clever names to marvel, Yokii an Aussie artist & print-master for clothes & paintings. Joshua Harker for 3D printing for sculptures in filigree & Rhett Hutchence for prints plus more.

My favorite is the wall cabinet full of miniture SKULL collectibles in bone & resin, with the most marvellous skeleton bone puppet plus love the skeleton on surfboard too!
