Candlelit Dinner (24 December)

I am going to schedule this for readers who live or who have decided to travel to the north of Bali for Christmas as it is such a beautiful part of the island.  Spice Beach Club have planned a scrumptious candlelit dinner together with Balinese dancing, live music and a DJ.  The venue is atmospheric and a lovely place to spend Christmas Eve.  Do call to reserve your table to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Eve Rooftop Party (24 December)

This is another great venue for a party with DJs David J, Shammui and Fadi.  Happy hour is from 3 pm to 6 pm buy one get one free perfect if you just want to enjoy a sunset before heading home for the evening or the perfect stop if you are heading into town.  For those wanting to join the party the doors are open all evening.   The dress code is smart casual.

Cocoon (Christmas)

These are always great – blasts from the past and at Cocoon five decades of music.  So many eras, so many music genres, so many amazing sounds and amazing bands.  Definitely worth attending to journey back to the sounds of the past.

Lunch and dinner will be served and bookings are essential to avoid missing out on a Christmas feast.

The sounds for the afternoon are RNB/Hip Hop and a pool party the perfect place to be to round off the Christmas weekend.

Festive Gala Dinner (31 December)

If you really feel like splashing out and treating yourself to a very special New Year’s Eve then this is definitely the place to be.  A five course feast will be served in the Gamelan Ballroom.  Live entertainment will be from the very talented Anggun internationally renowned singer and songwriter.  A firework show will welcome in the New Year and the after party will continue at the bar.  The perfect way to end the year and welcome in the New Year.  Do reserve your seats.  The dress code for the evening is black and gold.  Elegant and stylish!

KU DE TA (24 and 31 December)

KUDETA always knows how to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is always an exciting time for the children and there are going to be plenty of festive surprises for the KUDETA kids. Christmas lunch consists of a four coursefeast.  As sunset approaches The Mangroves join to play their reggae tunes.  A few days later as the year ends ‘Let’s Disco Flamingo’ is the slogan for the New Year’s Eve party.  Flamboyant flamingo fun is what the evening is all about.  International DJs Pete Herbert (UK), Loco Heroes (NL) and Stu Mac (UK) will provide the music for the evening.  Be prepared to enter the world of Club Tropicana meets Miami Vice and know you are probably in one of the world’s best venues for a fabulous New Year’s Eve party.  Do book ahead to ensure your spot.

Potato Head (Christmas Lineup)

  • 24 and 25 December

Potato Head have a great line up for the Christmas season starting with a couple of great movies.  I am sure that readers have their favourite Christmas film!  Before technology took off it was a big treat to watch a blockbuster on Christmas day and of course a James Bond film in the UK.  Films have always played a role at Christmas and Potato Head have planned a couple of great family films. On Christmas, Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare before Christmas’ will be screened which is definitely a Christmas favourite.  ‘Elf’ will be screened on Christmas day.  Lots of activities for the children including Christmas card making and storytelling will be held throughout the day together with a traditional roast and all the trimmings of a superb Christmas meal.

  • 28 December – 7 pm

A night pool party will feature American DJ and Producer Z-Trip an artist who is well known for the mashup movement something I know very little about but will appeal to those that do.  DJ Dubwill will be there for support.

  • 31 December

Another amazing place to celebrate New Year’s Eve with British drum and bass band, Rudimental.  The party will begin at the last sunset of 2016 with a contemporary Balinese fire dance performance and amazing entertainment through to the New Year.  Tickets are selling fast and can be purchased online at the website below.  Prices are listed on the comprehensive website.

Rock the Holidays (24 December)

The Hard Rock Café has a great Christmas Eve’s entertainment lined up.  A children’s choir will sing Christmas songs, a live band will provide the music and magic tricks from the rockers at the Hard Rock Cafe.  Do reserve your spot as this is always a busy venue.
