Carols by Candlelight (23 December)
Carols by Candlelight became a tradition in Victoria, Australia in 1938. Today, Carols by Candlelight is takes place in many parts of the world. Biku will host their 2017 Carols by Candlelight and will be led by the Bali International Choir with all your favourite Carols and songs. A scrumptious barbecue dinner will also be served. Biku is the perfect venue for an event like this and the community are invited to this fundraiser with profits going to The Smile Foundation. Biku also has a Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a wonderful idea. You can leave presents at the giving tree and these will be given to the children who have had major facial operations and are recovering at the Smile House. This event is definitely going to get you into the spirit of Christmas and the spirit of giving. If you cannot make it then do drop in a present for the giving tree. The community will gather for a very special evening of fund raising, giving and Christmas cheer. We look forward to seeing you there.

Finns Food and Wine Festival (8 December)
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Are you in the festive spirit? If you need a little push then this is really going to be the place to go to get ahead of the game and start some Christmas shopping. For socialites and shoppers this food and wine festival is going to add some sparkle to the month. Christmas markets are fabulous in Europe and now you can enjoy over 60 market stalls at the festival bursting with festive seasonal goodies. The food and wine festival has a delicious mixture of fresh, locally produced foods to enjoy with plenty of good wines. This event is geared up for the whole family as the Splash Water Park is open and free for everyone to enjoy during the festival. As another school term ends with the Christmas holidays looming there is a special treat from Miss Claire’s JSA Love to Dance troupe who will perform their end of year dance recital on centre stage. The community is invited to attend and enjoy the wind down to the weekend, do a bit of shopping, enjoy time with family and friends and get into the spirit of Christmas.

Saga Music Festival (28 and 29 December)
Garuda Winsu Kencana (GWK) will be the venue for this event which will be a party under the stars surrounded by ancient culture. The festival is the first Bali owned, organized and executed multi stage and multiple day festival. The first phase line up is impressive with many internationally famed DJS and acts from across the globe including DJ Snake, FKJ, Dropgun, Chris Lake, TWRK, Rave Republic, Mac Benjamin and so many more with acts yet to be announced. I am sure those who are closely connected to the world of music and international DJs will recognize some of those names. There are various prices depending on whether you want the basic one day pass or a two-day VVIP pass which is priced accordingly. Silent Music Disco (10 December)
I love the idea of a silent disco to be able to choose my own tunes without having to listen to a lot of the noise that is played today! However, this event is only for children and so no adults are allowed. Dancing, moving, grooving and playing games are part of the afternoon’s fun with a set of headphones on! You must book in advance to reserve your headphones. The dress code is comfortable disco dancing clothes. I am sure the kids are going to have a heap of fun and dance until they cannot dance any longer. The age for the party is 2 to 10 years. Food can be ordered at an additional cost. What a great way to spend an afternoon for the kids!
