Rotary Club Bali Ubud Sunset [RCBUS] has just what you need – Bogies for Bali! Bogies for Bali is RCBUS’ first annual charity golf tournament. It will take place on 25 September 2021, but the fun will start the night before at the incredibly beautiful, world-class Handara Golf & Resort Bali. The tournament’s title sponsor in Sababay Winery.

Activities include a BBQ for participants and their families and friends on the evening of 24 September along with a chipping contest. The winner of the chipping contest will receive a brand-new golf bag compliments of Club Car Indonesia.

25 September begins with a hearty breakfast for participants and their families and friends. The actual golf competition begins with a shotgun start at 8:00 am. When all players complete the course, everyone will gather for the 19th Hole luncheon and awards ceremony. Trophies and prizes for best scores, hole-in-one and worst score will be presented. BMW has donated an f900R motorcycle to be given to the skillful person who makes a hole-in-one. A live auction and a raffle will also be part of the awards ceremonies. Sponsors and donors will be right on hand with their products for participants and their families and friends to purchase.

Donors and sponsors have been particularly generous. ABWonderdive Bali Resort, Alila Villas, Jiwa House, Lily Lane Villas and Sthala have each donated overnight stays.

Bank Lestari is generously donating golf umbrellas. Green Club Golf has donated gift certificates to their pro shop to make yourshopping there more fun. Toya Salt has graciously donated two pampering kits to help you relax after playing 18 holes.

Bali Advertiser has provided free advertising space for the event. HOVI, a program of Kasih Ibu Hospital, and Super Keto, a company which produces jellies, are both sponsors of holes on the course.

Bali Better Breathing, Margi Hair & Makeup and Pukako Panini & Coffee have all donated gift certificates to the fabulous raffle which will take place at the 19th Hole Awards Ceremony.

Sangkala Art and Sewing for Living have both purchased tables in the tournament’s market place where you will be able to purchase their products.

All funds raised will be donated to three charities: Klinik Bali Sehat to provide basic health care along with education for preventative health care and nutrition in Karangasem Regency, to the WEHEA Project to help prevent the devastation of Wehea National Forest in Kalimantan along with the homes and culture of the Dayak people and the habitat and lives of orangutans, sun bears and other already endangered animals, and to Sewing for Living, a RCBUS project which empowers Balinese women to be able to work from their homes to help support their families. They are taught how to use sewing machines, how to crochet and how to sell their products at local markets and in online stores.

Pat and Whitney Compton made a very generous cash donation to the success of the event. It is not too late for you to help RCBUS support Klinik Bali Sehat, the WEHEA Project and Sewing for Living. There are still sponsorships available and room for more prizes for the live auction and the raffle. Handara Golf & Resort Bali has instituted several precautions during the Covid pandemic.
1. All guests entering the facility must have proof of vaccination or a recent negative PCR test.
2. A nurse in a separate room will be available to administer an antigen test for Covid.
3. Carts will be limited to one golfer per cart.
4. All caddies will be masked.
5. It is recommended that all golfers be masked except when hitting the ball.
6. It is recommended that all guests be masked in public indoor spaces except when eating or drinking.
7. The facility was closed from August 11 to August 21.
