Australia Day Celebration (26 January)
Happy Australia Day! For non-Australians who may be unaware, this is a national holiday held to commemorate the founding of the colony of New South Wales in Australia on 26 January 1788. Now it has become a day to reflect what it means to be Australian and to celebrate contemporary Australia and acknowledge their history. It is about all things Australian, a sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy, freedom, land and the people. Australia is worthy of celebration and if you haven’t visited Australia it is a must, diverse, stunning, contrasting and vast. There are several Australia day celebrations and the Bali Beach Shack comes highly recommended. Aussie owned, it is a family restaurant and bar with quality food, reasonable prices and great entertainment which means a great place to be for Australia day celebrations. It would be nice to have a national holiday in Bali to celebrate with our neighbours down under! The drag shows are also worth checking out at weekends too.
