Antoine Trio (21 July)

For jazz lovers in Bali, you will be delighted to learn that this is a regular Friday night event starting on 21 July.  The summer heat cools down with Antoine Trio and their jazzy tunes.  Zibiru restaurant is like an Italian Cucina and was founded by Executive Chef Luigi Calcagno.  The restaurant offers farm to table freshness and the delicate tastes of Italian cuisine at its very best.  The restaurant is open daily from 5 pm until 12 midnight and is worth a visit if you have not been there.  It is worth noting that live jazz also features on Wednesdays and Saturdays and happy hour is 4 pm to 6 pm daily.

Balinesia Face (3 – 6 August)

ID Creative World is back with their annual signature exhibition of local fashion, art and craft in Bali and is now in its third year.  The exhibition includes fashion shows, fashion talks, entrepreneur talks, Balinese dance, art performances, Indie music and much more.  Bali is home to some top fashion designers and artists and this exhibition will showcase some of Bali’s top talents in the world of fashion and arts.  The Beachwalk Kuta is always worth a visit but a must for the exhibition.

Bikini Party (30 July)

The high season is in full swing now and it is time to dress up, drink and soak up the atmosphere by attending one of the islands most infamous high season parties.  The bikini party is an annual event hosted by one of Bali’s top venues Kudeta.  Not wanting to point out the obvious you need to find your best bikini or beach wear and come along for an afternoon and evening of fun, music and laughter in true Kudeta style. Cubby House Kids Club (9 and 23 July – parties) (8 and 22 July – Creative cooking classes)

Cubby House Kids has some special themed parties for the month of July, guaranteed to keep the kids busy. The first party is themed the ‘Lady Bug Party’ which includes lady bug face painting, lady bug drawing competition and pass the parcel, a traditional party game favourite.  Food includes Hawaiian pizza, French fries and Lady Bug cupcakes. The next party is themed ‘Frozen Party’, a Disney favourite and children are invited to wear their best dressed frozen costume. There will be a treasure hunt and dancing Elsa competition. Food includes chicken nuggets, French fries and frozen pudding. The first cooking class will be themed ‘Royal Wimbledon Meringue Mess’ and the second ‘Ice Cream Tacos’. Children are welcome to come along and enjoy these exciting activities as well as enjoy the Cubby House. Foundations of Yoga (16 July)

Jimpster (8 July)

Jimpster is the alias for taste-maker, label boss, producer, DJ and remixer, Jamie Odell who is visiting from the UK together with his impressive resume of talents.  Jimpster has become one of the most well-known deep house producer/DJs on the music scene today.  His labels Freerange and Delusions of Grandeur enable new music and acts such as Detroit Swindle, Tornado Wallace and Session Victim to hit the music scene.  W Bali is the venue, swank and slick and the perfect place to host a late-night event with Jimpster.  It is always great to welcome international artists and talents to Bali and enjoy an international vibe on our tropical island home.

Sanur Mostly Jazz Festival (14, 15 and 16 July)

For jazz fans, this is definitely going to be a three-day extravaganza of all things jazz with some of Indonesia’s top jazz musicians.  Mostly jazz is a bi-weekly music programme hosted by the Santrian Group and Sanggar Musik Indra Lesmana since 2015 at the Griya Santrian Resort.  Mostly jazz has enabled a collaboration of Indonesian professional musicians and now the culmination can be enjoyed in this three-day festival.

Summer Sunset Session (8 July)
