Carols by Candlelight (8 December)
We have come to that time of year again. How the year has flown and yet another one almost over! Christmas is a time for song and I am sure readers all have a favourite Christmas song. You are invited to come along to a family gathering with Christmas Carols and songs at the Garden Early Learning Centre. Art, craft, games and face painting will be available and activities guaranteed to keep the children entertained for the evening. A very special guest will make an appearance in his grotto and I am sure readers can guess who! Food and drinks will be provided by the excellent Sprout café adjacent to the centre. The event proudly supports The Mother and Baby House a charity organization based in Denpasar. The event will take place come rain or shine and therefore all you need to do is bring along a blanket to sit on. This is a community event and readers are invited to come and get into the spirit of Christmas at Canggu. Do pick up tickets at Sprout as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited.

Christmas Fundraising Dinner Buffet (10 December)
The 4th annual fundraising event to raise money for the Mount Agung evacuees, local Balinese schools, children, hygiene, and water projects is now scheduled. This is another opportunity to join in for a wonderful pre-Christmas dinner like no other. The menu is extensive with a classic turkey and all the traditional trimmings along with fried snapper, roast loin of pork, wild mushroom lasagna, and more, plus a huge number of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Funds raised will be used to help evacuees get back to a normal life plus bring water to schools and villages that do not have water at present. This means children will have toilets and drinking water at their school for the first time. Furthermore, villagers will not have to walk 3 hours a day to bring water to their village. The event will also support the Bali Children’s Project which supplies scholarships to children who cannot go to school because they are not able to afford their uniform, books, writing paper, pencils and other necessities. In addition, this event will support the John Fawcett Foundation which brings vision support, including glasses, medicines and portable cataract surgery units to villages. The prizes are always incredibly generous. Lucky draw raffle items include stays at the Chedi Club; lunch and spa treatment at the Four Seasons; a 6 course tasting menu for 4 people at Cascades at the Viceroy; a 7 course menu for 2 at Locavore; a 6 course dinner for 2 at Spice by Chris Salans; a Divine Pamparing package at 5 Star Taksu Spa in Ubud; a gorgeous silver necklace by John Handy; lunch and drinks at the Amandari; and more! Marky Ramone (4 December)
Marky Ramone and his band Marky Ramones Blitzkrief will perform live on stage here in Bali! In case readers are not sure who Marky Ramone is, Marky Ramone is the only member alive of the group inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, and with a Grammy for his career with other band members. The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens right back in 1974! It seems a long time ago but with such talented artists time should know no boundaries! Marky Ramone has an impressive resume behind him and continues to tour the world with his band and will perform The Ramones classics during his show at Bali’s Hard Rock Café. This is great news for fans in Bali! Tickets are limited so do pass by the Hard Rock Café and purchase them as soon as possible.

Junior Chef Cooking Class (25 November and 2 December)
Junior Master Chef has become a huge success across the globe and it is great to see children demonstrating a keen interest in the world of food. Just in case your child missed out on Junior Master Chef and wants to try his or her skills in the kitchen then this is definitely a great opportunity. The focus on the Junior Chef Cooking Classes is a delicious Mediterranean cuisine edition. On 2nd December a special class with Michelin-starred chefs Alfredo Russo and Pino Cuttaia. This class is open to 12 to 15 year olds.

Solo Tango Orquestra (30 November)
It is not often that such amazing talent from other countries comes which is why these evenings are rare treats. This is the first time this Russian troop will perform in Bali, dedicating themselves to the magical world of Tango music. Be prepared for a powerful, high-quality performance featuring a wide repertoire of Tango songs. The group have gained international recognition having performed with a number of Tango stars including Javier Rodriguez, Fatima Vitale, Miguel Zotto and Daiana Guspero. The evening will take place in the glamorous Plumeria Grand Ball room beginning with an outstanding gala dinner including Spanish suckling pig, Australian BBQ beef and Satay Merangi followed by the musical performance.
