Signorina

The new design label of Signorina has now unveiled its first store in Seminyak, behind the now hugely popular Lello Lello Gelato and Petite India street bistro.

Yes, it’s a very European feel, as this sumptuously stocked interiors boutique nestles amongst the surroundings of the cosy café vibe amidst classic European architecture.

So, how should we describe this treasure trove of beautiful things? The name ‘Signorina – fabuloso y lujoso’ seems like an inspired start. Indeed, this gorgeous store is exactly that…..fabulous and luxurious!

A frangipani scented courtyard space, heaving with objects of personality and emotion. Specially commissioned pieces, ethnic fabrics, exotic artifacts and rare and primitive pieces sourced from across the Indonesian archipelago. The feel is at once diverse and beautiful, vintage and contemporary.

From the studio of Federico Gioli, Signorina has collaborated to bring gorgeous garments, shirts and kimonos, fashioned from luxurious and cool bamboo fabrics. Hand stitched Italian cotton bed throws and ultra light coverlets trimmed with hand made pom poms are colourful, playful and so practical.

This is a world intertwining and mixing a diverse ethnic blend of fashion, design and cultural sensibilities. With this mix Signorina discreetly achieves a mood of sophisticated elegance and subdued luxury.

This Signorina is saying, “I exude a pan ethnic lifestyle of confidence, casual individuality and a little quirky humour but make it fabulously luxurious!”
