Solo Exhibition by Joska Skalnik – now to 11 April
The Czech Embassy in Jakarta is sponsoring an exhibition with the theme ‘Dreams Situations Game’ by Czech contemporary artist Joska Skalnik at Joshua District in Pankung Tibah, Tabanan. Skalnik, a friend of Vaclav Havel – writer, dissident and later President of the Czech Republic – was also imprisoned for his participation in the fight for democracy and human rights during the communist totalitarian regime and Soviet occupation. Joska Skalník has received several prestigious awards for his fine art, including the Trebbia Award from the internationally acclaimed Trebbia Foundation in June 2017.
IT Workshops for the Diffabled Communty – 29 March & 31 March
Rumah Sanur is offering 2 workshops over a 2-day period by digital entrepreneur Korniawan, specifically designed for the Bali Diffabled Community. The first session is ‘How to grow your online presence’ and includes instructions on how to develop and grow a personal or company brand on social media, explaining the concept of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), strategies to grow your web page on Google and using Google Adword and Facebook Ads. The second session is ‘Marketing on your mobile phone’ to teach you how to use Canva Apps and create designs, tips & tricks to use Canva Apps, how to create good captions and product storytelling, how to optimize social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) for business.
This program is presented in partnership with Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan (YPK) Bali & Puspadi Bali and supported by Australian Volunteers Program & Planet Wheeler. Please note the workshops are limited to diffabled participants.

Hats off to Women Fundraiser – 29 March
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Bali WISE and My Red Envelope are presenting a fundraiser dedicated to the women of Indonesia who make a difference. This year’s theme is “Hats Off to Women” for the women of Indonesia who dedicate their time and effort to make positive change. The BaliWISE program started in 2012 with the goal of empowering marginalized and at-risk young women through skills education in hospitality. The six month scholarship program includes practical and classroom training, meals, uniforms, books, and dormitory housing. A small stipend allows them to send money home to their families so that they can continue their education.

CCG Discover #6: Beauty in the Ordinary with Eko Prawoto – 30 March
CCG Discover is a series of creative events at CushCush Gallery intended to share the ideas of passionate, talented individuals or groups with the creative communities in Bali. In this session Eko Prawoto, an experienced architect who studied architecture in Yogyakarta and Amsterdam and teaches architecture at a Yogyakarta university, will talk about his experiences as an architect and looking at architecture from a different perspective. Eko’s special interest is eco design, both in terms of spatial planning, structure, and decoration elements. As much as possible his work is in harmony with the environment without reducing the uniqueness of the building and using a lot of natural materials such as wood, bamboo, natural stone, as well as recycled materials like used bricks and ceramic pieces.
