Leonardo da Vinci Exhibition in Jakarta – Now to 3 March

If you are planning a trip to Jakarta in the next few weeks, you can still take in a traveling exhibition at the Bank Mandiri Museum in Central Jakarta entitled Leonardo Opera Omnia which shows the old master’s Renaissance masterpieces in high-definition and full-scale reproductions, including two of Leonardo’s most famous paintings: The Last Supper and Mona Lisa, or La Gioconda. This exhibition is organized by the Italian Embassy and Istituto Italiano di Cultura to commemorate the death of Leonardo da Vinci 500 years ago and is curated by Prof. Antonio Paolucci, one of Italy’s most distinguished art experts, who aims to provide a fresh perspective to understand Leonardo’s sophisticated genius and creativity.


Singapore Biennale –Now to 22 March

Every Step in the Right Direction is the title of the 6th Singapore Biennale which features more than 70 artists and art collectives from around the world. This international contemporary art exhibition can be viewed at venues across Singapore, including National Gallery Singapore, Gillman Barracks, de Suantio Gallery at Singapore Management University, Asian Civilisations Museum and more. The Singapore Biennale is commissioned by the National Arts Council and organised by the Singapore Art Museum ( Many artists from all over the world are showing their creations in art, exhibitions, installations, performances, theatre and workshops. Tickets start at S$25 with discounts for children, seniors, students and teachers. There are also lots of free admission events. Free shuttle bus available on weekends. Macrame Workshop by Anroo- 29 February

Anroo is teaching 3 basic techniques of macramé at her next workshop at Xich Lo, Canggu and will help you to create your own master piece. The workshop fee includes materials (drift wood/bamboo wood & natural cotton rope) and snacks.

Bali Wise Charity Dinner – 10 March

As part of the global celebration of International Woman’s Day. Bali WISE, a non-profit foundation providing education and training to local impoverished women, is hosting a lavish 4-course dinner at the 5-star Apurva Kempinski to recognize 15 outstanding women in the community. Guests of Honor and serving as prize presenters will be Ms. Happy Selma, a well-known actress, model and author, and Ms. Anthea Griffin who currently serves as the Consul-General of Australia in Bali. These 15 outstanding women were selected for their contributions across three categories: Inspiring Change Maker of the Year, Business Women of the Year, and Environmental Conservation and Stewardship. Tickets include a four-course dinner with free-flow beverages, live entertainment, and a silent & online auction. By attending this event, you help finance skills education for disadvantaged students and set them on a path towards a brighter future.

The Yak Mag Golf Cup – 14 March

The Yak Magazine is hosting its annual Yak Cup at the Bali National Golf Club with the theme Texas Scramble.
