Traditional Balinese Wood Carving Workshop – 14 March
Prior to the 20th century, wood carving in Bali was a form of spiritual devotion. Decorative panels, ornate doors, figures of deities and masks were created for ceremonial use and were exclusively used for temples and palaces. Xich Lo Restaurant in Padang Linjong is the venue for a 2 hours long wood carving workshop with Ngurah Subagiasa as your mentor. In this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the basic technique behind modelling and sculpting objects in wood. — Secure your spot with full payment.
