Due to the unfortunate effects of the Covid-19 pandemic most important events in Bali have been cancelled or postponed, including
- Bali Spirit Festival – postponed indefinitely
- Ubud Food Festival – postponed till 26-28 June
- Indigenous Film Night – postponed to 30 April
The events listed below are still ongoing. However, it is best to check with the appropriate venues to get an update before scheduling your attendance.
Painting Exhibition by 3 Balinese Female Artists – through 30 April
The Santrian Art Gallery is showing the works of 3 accomplished Balinese painters under the theme Pertiwi- (Motherhood). Ni Nyoman Sani, Gusti Ketut Oka Armini, and Ni Ketut Ayu Sri Wardani are talented artists who chose to focus on their personal experiences of being a female in Bali and a mother to boot. Each brings her own unique background and interpretation to the fore and expresses that particular life energy through bold lines, strokes and colour.

Getaway Bali Impact Adventure – 28 & 29 March
If you want to get away for a few days you can explore the rainforest and Tamblingan Lake National Park of northern Bali by joining an adventure trip hosted by Nomads Giving Back and The Getaway Camp Bali. Guided by local rangers, this trip involves some light trekking and canoeing, learning about the area’s tropical wildlife, and visiting ancient temples surrounding the jungle. Besides enjoying a healthy and relaxing weekend with campside bonhomie and traditional Balinese meals, you can make a positive impact on Bali’s environment and the local community by participating in a small-scale reforestation project, helping the village with a plastic clean-up by the lake and engaging in a language and cultural exchange with the local kids by the lake.
