Festival Fun Days are Back at Finns

Get ready people, the next Food and Wine Festival is just around the corner. Free for everyone to attend it promises lashings of family flavoured fun where you can get your fill of food, free entertainment, liquid refreshments and retail therapy all in the one place on Friday October 6th from 3pm.

Join everybody on the lawn and let the kids run free for a while or bounce off the walls on the jumping castles. Speaking of bouncing… bigger kids or those of us still young at heart might be keen to take part in the not-so-serious new sports sensation, Bubble Soccer! A hilarious hybrid, the game appears to be a crossbreed creation of billiards, bumper cars and football and is seriously funny to see. Players’ upper bodies are encased in an inflated, ring shaped orb with only their lower limbs free to move. Zorbers form two teams and the concept of the game is much the same as soccer with a lot of bouncy contact! One of the best things about Bubble Soccer (Snookball if you prefer to call it), other than side splitting fun, is that you are protected from sharp elbows and hard surfaces by one huge air filledfloatie!

Cool off after your Bubble Soccer session with a few runs down the rides at Splash, however you’ll have to leave your Zorb ‘floatie’ behind as they’re NOT permitted on the slides, (as entertaining as that might be!) Splash is free for everybody from 3pm on Food and Wine Festival days at Finns so remember to bring your swimsuits.

All of that hydro fun can build quite a thirst but with no less than ten food and beverage vendors as well as Bistro C’s Smoke House serving up an international smorgasbord of snacks, you won’t need to search far to refuel and you can count on rehydration of a different kind at the bar. There will be a host of free wine tasting available.

Take a stroll around the market and check out the wares on show from eighty market stall vendors. Find your next pair of active wear, sepeda motor seat covers, snacks, swimsuits, stylish threads, toys and tons more to tempt you to open your wallet. Even if you’re not up for any retail therapy (err…. like, as if!!!) sit back in a bean bag and enjoy the show! The evening is chock full of entertainment for everyone to enjoy with laid back tunes from acoustic guitarists, clowns and magicians to enthrall the kids and DJs and live music keeping the tunes rocking into the later hours and it’s all free!

If you’d like to be a market stall vendor at the next Finns Food and Wine Festival get in quick and contact eka.andi@finnsrecclub.com for details. Set October 6th aside in your diaries for some family sized fun, get ready to shop, be social and shake your booty!

Brescia Bercane Brings Wearable Art to Finns Boutique

This summer, Bali based brand Brescia Bercane, invites us to dive into her nomadic world. She brings us along on her exotic  journey by way of stunning creations and wearable art and now you can find a range of her designs at Finns Beach Club Boutique!

Born from an exceptional encounter of two complementary souls looking for freedom, inspiration, and creativity, this label is the result of a successful collaboration between designer, Brescia Bercane and dedicated business developer, Manon Norel. Coming from a very artistic background, Brescia has always been passionate about creation and fashion design. With a proven, strong business acumen and sense of dedication, Manon joined forces with her to help drive the brand forward and together they have taken their label international; their designs featuring in boutiques across Bali, Europe and the US.

Living between France and Bali, both are keen to explore the many cultures the world has to offer, their travels and countries of residence providing them with daily inspiration and the desire to create pieces that reflect the magic of the images they find before them!  For several years, Brescia has been learning from the best designers in France, India, and Bali. Always inspired by mystic souls, Berber tribes, and folk art, she has finally been able to realise her dream of launching her own brand. Every day, the designer seeks joy and happiness, capturing moments of pure beauty from wherever her travels take her. Driven by her passion for crafts and her desire to move people through her art, Brescia Bercane has released a wonderful sarong capsule collection.

Made of light and delicate fabrics as soft as silk, the sarongs features handmade artworks – real, wearable  art! The mix between vibrant colours and ethnic visage mean they can also be used as decorative pieces. Showcased on a wall, main support as indoor decoration, the sarongs bring a real bohemian atmosphere to any room – versatile ‘must-haves’ for any travel lover. On a sunny day, the sarong can be an accessory, on another, a decorative piece to bring light, colour and happiness into a bedroom or a living room.

At Brescia Bercane, every print tells a story and provides positive vibes through a mixed panel of bright and warm colours. New season creations have been inspired by Massai and Libyan prints and the designer has let her imagination run free, ornamenting t-shirt dresses of jersey bamboo with embroidery and pearls. Unknown faces in each design are the result of eclectic inspiration whilst a myriad ofcolours and shimmering forms bring Indian vibes to the fore.  It’s the perfect balance between primitive traditions and urban elegance.

Animated by the desire to engender emotion via her art, Brescia Bercane continues to create quality and original handmade designs and printed textiles for both beachwear, and home decor. See her designs in person and browse the Brescia Bercane collection at Finns Beach Club Boutique or visit their website: www.bresciabercane.com

As always, it’s sure to be a stellar line up of entertainment as Finns are sticking with their successful recipe featuring Australian home grown talent. Cup day guests are in for even more than a triple treat this year with not one, not two, but FOUR well known Aussie vocalists. Household names in Oz throughout the eighties, nineties and noughties; Paul Gray (of Wa Wa Nee), Mark Gable (Choirboys), Jason Singh (Taxiride) and Reece Maston ( X-Factor winner 2011) will grace the stage as ‘The Voices’ in a celebration of Australian music, ensuring an unforgettable afternoon of awesome tunes, great food, and fabulous fun.
